The Bromsgrove Societywas formed in 1980. Since that date the Society has endeavoured to address all aspects of planning both built and environmental in the District. Representation has been made at Planning Enquiries and all planning applications are carefully monitored.
There is a competition for the outstanding architecture in the district culminating in a plaque to be displayed on the winning entry(ies).
The Society has to date erected six town signs, on entrance roads to the town.
Donations have been made to Avoncroft Museum, St. John's Church and St. Peter's Church.
Plaques have been installed in the town to mark the Medieval Crosses with a definitive board in the High Street.
Seats have been sited in the play areas on the Recreation Ground and in Sanders Park.
The Society has a membership of approximately 600 and will be pleased to welcome more people to it ranks.
The annual subscription is only £9 for a full member and £12 joint, Pensioner rate is £7 and £9 pensioner family, Corporate Membership is £25.00 minimum. Our membership secretary is:
