50 Years of Sanders Park

Hundreds of local residents enjoyed an afternoon of music and fun in Sanders Park. Local duo The Peas kicked off the day before Chairman of the Council Cllr Caroline Spencer gave a warm welcome to all. Members of the Sanders family attended the event to celebrate the legacy of their relatives Mary Beatrice and Lucy Mary Maude Sanders who gave their land to the council so that it could be used as a park for the town. Visitors were also entertained by The Wyre Forest Big Band, The Steve Kaos Circus and Artrix Song Stars Show Choir.

In the lead up to the event the Bromsgrove Society had put a request out for photographic memories of times spent in the park. There had been a fabulous response and all the pictures were on display at the event. The Society also handed out birthday cake to the visitors on the day.
